Konjufca Receives Award on International Roma Day

The Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, today welcomed the leader of the United Roma Party of Kosovo and newly elected MP for the upcoming legislature, Albert Kinolli, along with representatives of the Roma community.

According to a press release, Konjufca received a Certificate of Appreciation for his Contribution to the Roma Community, for which he thanked his guests and emphasized the importance of maintaining joint engagement.

He added that commitment and efforts must continue to grow in order to further advance Kosovo’s social and economic development, with comprehensive and inclusive participation, and with ongoing promotion of democracy and human rights, despite all forms of exclusion.

Konjufca also recalled that the inclusion of the Roma community, as well as all non-majority communities, in political, social, and economic life is in the interest not only of these communities but of the entire society striving for progress.
