Kosovo has begun preparations for hosting the Mediterranean Games, with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti convening the first meeting of the event’s Organizing Committee.

The meeting brought together Minister of Sport Blerim Gashani, representatives of the country’s sporting community and Prishtina Mayor Përparim Rama, as preparations for the major international sporting event get underway.

The meeting marked the first formal gathering of the Organizing Committee and is expected to lay the groundwork for coordination between central and local institutions, as well as sports organizations involved in hosting the Games.

Media representatives were permitted to record footage from the meeting but were not allowed to cover the discussions in full.
