Kosovo Customs has surpassed €1 billion in revenue collection, reaching €1.007 billion to date and marking a 5.5% increase compared to the same period last year, when revenues totaled €955 million.

According to Kosovo Customs, this achievement is the result of several key factors, including:

  • Stable economic performance and close cooperation with the private sector;
  • Strong legal compliance by the business community;
  • Increased efficiency in combating the informal economy while facilitating legitimate trade.

One of the most significant developments this year has been the implementation of the pre-arrival customs declaration system. The reform follows the full nationalization of customs terminals under a government decision and the elimination of terminal fees—an issue that had been highlighted for years in the European Commission’s Progress Reports and was assessed as resolved last year.

Kosovo Customs stated that the initial results of the new system have been highly positive and well received by the business community.

The institution reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening its operational capacities and improving customs services while supporting economic growth and trade facilitation.
