In a late-night electronic session on July 14, 2026, the outgoing Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its 28th official meeting to pass several administrative and developmental decisions.
According to an official communique released by the Prime Minister’s Office (ZKM) on July 15, the executive cabinet approved key public leadership appointments, finalized property expropriation plans for municipal developments in Gjakova, and updated oversight committees.
Key Cabinet Decisions & Approvals
During the electronic voting process, the government authorized three major administrative actions:
1. Executive Appointment
- New Leadership at ASHI: The cabinet formally approved the appointment of Mr. Ragmi Dalipi as the Director General of the Information Society Agency (Agjencia e Shoqërisë së Informacionit – ASHI). The agency is responsible for overseeing the digitalization of public services and managing state IT infrastructure.
2. Final Property Expropriations for Gjakova Municipality
The government finalized the expropriation of several former socially-owned properties currently managed by the Privatization Agency of Kosovo (AKP). These lands are being transferred to public ownership to realize two major local municipal projects in Gjakova:
- Administration Expansion: The former “Bankos” building (located in the Gjakova-City Zone) will be repurposed to house offices for the local municipal administration.
- Community Sports Infrastructure: Land in the Trakaniq Cadastral Zone will be utilized for the construction of a football field and recreational spaces serving the village of Trakaniq and its surrounding areas.
3. Committee Personnel Adjustments
The cabinet amended Government Decision No. 11/08 (dated April 3, 2026) regarding the state committee tasked with resolving discrepancies in the Immovable Property Rights Register.
- Under the new changes, Mrs. Besnike Mehmeti (Prime Minister’s Office) will replace Mrs. Ervina Gashi (Prime Minister’s Office) as an alternate member on the committee.
