As part of ongoing efforts to extend state authority throughout the northern region, the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have officially taken control of the train station in Zveçan.

During the operation, state officials removed the old station sign featuring Cyrillic script and hoisted the national flag of the Republic of Kosovo at the site.

A high-level government delegation inspected the facility and monitored the transition of this strategic railway infrastructure into the state management system. The delegation included:

  • Xhelal Sveçla — Minister of Internal Affairs
  • Artane Rizvanolli — Minister of Economy
  • Dimal Basha — Member of Parliament (Lëvizja Vetëvendosje)

From the site, institutional representatives declared that this measure aims to establish rule of law and fully integrate public infrastructure under the unified management of the Republic of Kosovo, halting any unapproved operations in the sector.
