Kosovo Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu is scheduled to make an official visit to North Macedonia today, where she will be welcomed with a state ceremony by her counterpart, North Macedonia’s Assembly Speaker Afrim Gashi.
As part of the visit, Haxhiu will hold a bilateral meeting with Gashi to discuss matters of mutual interest and parliamentary cooperation.
Her program also includes meetings with North Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.
Haxhiu is also expected to meet with mayors of municipalities with Albanian majorities. The visit will additionally include a stop at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The visit comes as Kosovo and North Macedonia continue engagement through political and institutional contacts between their respective leaders.
