Law enforcement authorities in the Prishtina region executed over 200 court warrants, confiscated multiple firearms, and issued thousands of traffic citations during a coordinated, week-long security sweep targeting crime and public safety violations.

According to an official police report released on Monday, regional officers successfully processed a total of 210 judicial orders across various locations. Among the executed warrants, 51 were directly related to serious criminal offenses, while the remaining 159 covered misdemeanors, court summonses, and mandatory identity verifications.

Following standard administrative procedures, individuals sentenced to prison terms were immediately transferred to correctional facilities to serve their sentences. Those carrying outstanding fines were processed and released after fulfilling their court-ordered financial obligations.

In parallel with the warrant executions, police cracked down on illegal weapons possession, successfully seizing eight firearms of various types and calibers during separate tactical interventions.

The comprehensive regional operation also heavily targeted road safety. Traffic units issued 4,815 administrative fines for various vehicular infractions and traffic code violations. Police officials noted that 686 of those citations were automatically detected and logged using smart patrol vehicles and mobile radar units.
