Kosovo’s President Osmani, Minister Maqedonci, and Commander Jashari Attend Halifax Security Forum

Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, announced that she has traveled to Canada for a working visit to represent the Republic of Kosovo at the Halifax International Security Forum.

In addition to President Osmani, the delegation from Kosovo includes Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci and the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), General Bashkim Jashari.

The participation of Maqedonci and Jashari was confirmed by the KSF.

“KSF Commander, General Bashkim Jashari, together with Minister of Defense, Mr. Ejup Maqedonci, are participating in the ‘HALIFAX 2024’ International Security Forum in Canada, which is taking place from November 22, 2024. The goal of this forum is to bring together democratic countries, including those beyond the Atlantic, to discuss how to address threats to the world’s democracies. The conference focuses on security issues that NATO and other countries sharing its common values are facing,” the KSF stated.

The KSF added that General Jashari will continue to hold high-level meetings with counterparts and other prominent figures from around the world during the event.

The Kosovo delegation will continue to participate in the relevant sessions and activities of this globally impactful conference, according to the KSF.
