The Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has thanked Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for the development of the local defense industry, referring to the signing of an agreement between Kosovo and the Turkish company “MKE” for the operation of the ammunition factory.
Kurti met with Fidan on Saturday during the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The acting head of the executive also expressed gratitude for Turkey’s contribution in supporting Kosovo on the international stage.
“The Prime Minister stated that Turkey is a partner and ally of Kosovo with which we have strong bilateral relations and close cooperation in many areas, including economy and defense. He thanked Minister Fidan for Turkey’s support for Kosovo on the international level, its contribution to Kosovo’s security through KFOR, and the partnership in the development of the local defense industry through the agreement signed with the Turkish company MKE for the operationalization of the ammunition factory,” said the statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
