The accusations of vote tampering within the LDK, particularly involving candidates for parliament and internal party schemes, have sparked significant controversy and legal scrutiny. On March 3, 2025, Shkëmb Manaj, the Deputy Mayor of Prishtina, sent a message in the LDK’s WhatsApp group, which became part of the ongoing investigation by the Basic Prosecution of Prishtina. This internal message accused certain party members of manipulating votes, specifically the votes of the Kosovo Diaspora.

The case, now in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office, has raised concerns within the LDK, as the accusations were made public by Reporteri.net. Following the publication, the Self-Determination Movement (Vetëvendosje) reacted by filing complaints with the Constitutional Court about the manipulation of postal votes. Despite these serious allegations, the LDK has not issued any comments, and Manaj was appointed to a significant position within the municipality of Prishtina shortly after the accusations surfaced.

On March 26, 2025, the State Prosecutor confirmed that an investigation had been launched, and Kosovo Police were tasked with gathering and verifying the information related to these accusations. However, further details of the investigation remain undisclosed to preserve the integrity of the process.
