The leader of NISMA Socialdemokrate, Fatmir Limaj, has revealed new details about his recent meeting with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and acting Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi.

Speaking on “Debat Plus” on TV Dukagjini, Limaj said he asked Kurti directly to clarify what he wanted from the meeting — numbers or partnership.

“I told Mr. Kurti, what exactly do you want from me — do you want my MPs’ votes or a political partnership? If you only want the numbers, I’m ready to provide them so that the minority government can be formed, and I’ll explain my reasoning in Parliament.
I don’t want to see my country’s prime minister in a difficult situation because of numbers,” Limaj stated.

According to him, Kurti replied that he was not interested in numbers, but in partnership. Limaj emphasized that NISMA is not interested in joining the government, but is open to cooperation within the Assembly.

“When I made it clear that I only want parliamentary partnership, both Kurti and Bislimi seemed surprised,” Limaj added.
“They were visibly taken aback when I told them I wasn’t seeking to join the government. My only commitment is to contribute constructively through partnership in the Assembly — that’s all. I never made any demands regarding numbers.”

Limaj also noted that the topic of forming a government was briefly mentioned during the meeting, but he insisted that he and his party did not want to discuss it further.
