Austrian MEP Lukas Mandl has joined the response of American Congressman Ritchie Torres to a statement made by Kingsley Wilson, a former Deputy Press Secretary in the Trump Administration, who criticized the state of Kosovo. Wilson had posted on X in 2023, echoing a slogan used during Trump’s campaign: “Make Kosovo Serbia again.”
Mandl praised Torres for his clear stance, stating, “The youngest state in Europe, with an ancient population and a modern constitution that serves as an example for peaceful coexistence among ethnicities and religions, will not be erased.”
Earlier, Congressman Torres condemned Wilson, calling her efforts to delegitimize Kosovo “shameful,” particularly given Kosovo’s role as one of America’s closest allies in the Western Balkans.
