Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met with representatives of several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Kosovo today, where they discussed preparations for the establishment of the Presidential Commission for Transitional Justice, as reported by Gazeta Express.
The creation of this commission follows from Kosovo’s Transitional Justice Strategy, and the process of its operationalization will continue in the upcoming weeks.
The announcement from the Presidency further emphasized that the commission will function in cooperation with victim representative organizations, civil society, and international partners.
President Osmani expressed gratitude for the support and commitment of the NGOs involved in transitional justice processes and thanked those present for their willingness to contribute to the process.
