In the final stage of his visit to the United States, Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci visited the “Sikorsky – Lockheed Martin” plant, where various helicopters are produced, including the Black Hawk helicopters.

Maqedonci stated that these helicopters would be part of Kosovo’s air support fleet.

The minister shared that he had met with the management of the company, where they discussed the options for including the helicopters in the inventory of the Kosovo Security Force.

“At the conclusion of my visit to the U.S., I visited the ‘Sikorsky – Lockheed Martin’ plant, where various helicopters are produced, including the Black Hawk helicopters, which will be part of the air support fleet of Kosovo’s military. Together with Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari and Ambassador Blerim Reka, head of the Kosovo Consulate General Mission in New York, we met with the company’s management and discussed options for incorporating these helicopters into the Kosovo Security Force’s inventory. Kosovo will be safer with helicopters flying above its skies,” said Maqedonci.
