Izet Mexhiti, leader of VLEN, said in a statement to Euronews that an agreement has been reached with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski regarding the use of the Albanian language in North Macedonia, reports TV21.

According to Mexhiti, the issue will be regulated within three months.

“As we have resolved these departments, we will continue with the jurisprudence exam, which is a demand of the students, but not only for jurisprudence. We have agreed that the Language Law will also be implemented in other areas related to professional exams or licenses that need to be obtained. We have not demanded — we have agreed, we have reached an understanding. It is a joint statement by the Prime Minister and the two governing partners VMRO and VLEN. Let it be a three-month deadline, because there is a procedure: a draft amendment must be made, it must pass the Government and then Parliament,” Mexhiti stated.
