“Albanian language is not negotiable” – Protest in North Macedonia, Albanian students demand resignation of prime minister

The large protest of Albanian students in Skopje continues, with demonstrators demanding the protection and use of the Albanian language in state institutions.

In their chants, protesters are also calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Justice Minister Igor Filkov, according to TV 21.

They can also be heard chanting: “The Albanian language is identity, the Albanian language is a legacy, the Albanian language is not negotiable.”
