Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has voiced strong support for Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, declaring that Serbian patriots can rely on Hungarian patriots in their efforts to defend national sovereignty.
In a video message addressed to Vučić and the Serbian people, Orban stated:
“Dear Aleksandar! Dear Serbian patriots! Greetings from Budapest. For months, we have been closely following events in Serbia. Foreign powers are trying to interfere in the lives of Serbs. This is happening to us as well. They want to tell Serbs how to live, just as they are trying to do here.”
Orban accused foreign forces of targeting those who defend Serbia’s sovereignty, a situation he compared to Hungary’s own experience.
“We see that you are not giving up, that you are fighting bravely for a sovereign Serbia. You are not alone — your struggle is our struggle. Serbian patriots can count on Hungarian patriots. Long live President Vučić, long live Serbia,” Orban concluded, as reported by Serbian media.
