President Vjosa Osmani, invited by French President Emmanuel Macron and International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, has traveled to Paris to attend the opening ceremony of the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games alongside numerous global leaders. She will also support the 9 athletes representing Kosovo at the Games.
President Osmani highlighted that Kosovo’s participation in the Olympics represents the pinnacle of the hard work, dedication, and determination of Kosovar athletes.
“It is a testament to the resilience of our state and our ability to rise above challenges and shine on the world stage,” Osmani emphasized, according to the Presidency.
During her visit to Paris, Osmani will participate in the “Sport for Sustainable Development” Summit organized by President Macron.
While in Paris, Osmani and her husband, Prindon Sadriu, will be guests at a reception hosted by the French President at the Élysée Palace and will attend Kosovo athletes’ performance at Trocadéro.
According to the Presidency, they are also invited to a dinner hosted by the President of the International Olympic Committee.
Kosovo will be represented by 9 athletes in various sports disciplines at the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games.
The President has wished the competitors well and expressed confidence that they will represent the Republic of Kosovo with honor and return proudly from Paris.
