Kosovo’s President, Vjosa Osmani, is currently visiting Malaysia, where today she met with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. During a press conference, Osmani expressed deep appreciation for Malaysia’s unwavering support for Kosovo throughout its history, particularly during difficult times.

She noted, “Today, we are doing much more than just reflecting on the past. In our discussions, we talked about new ways to enhance the cooperation between our two countries.”
Strengthening Diplomatic and Economic Ties
Osmani emphasized the commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties, forging deeper economic partnerships, and engaging in meaningful cooperation in areas of mutual interest. She further expressed her sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Ibrahim for his leadership and the decision to lift visa requirements for Kosovo citizens.
A Symbolic Gesture of Friendship
Osmani referred to the visa lift as a “gesture of trust”, “a sign of friendship”, and “an acknowledgment of the true potential that exists between our two nations.” She also reaffirmed that Kosovo is opening its embassy in Malaysia, marking another step toward closer ties.
In conclusion, Osmani conveyed that “These developments send a strong message that our peoples must meet more often, work more closely together, and learn more from one another.”
