Posta e Kosovës has issued its newest philatelic edition titled “Angels of Freedom – the statue ‘Little Leotrim’”, marking the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

The stamp is dedicated to the memory of children who lost their lives during the war in Kosovo and aims to preserve historical memory while promoting the values of peace, human dignity, and the protection of children’s rights.

The postage stamp features the statue “Little Leotrim,” dedicated to Leotrim Ahmeti, which serves as a symbol of remembrance for child victims of the war in Kosovo. Through this motif, Posta e Kosovës emphasizes the importance of raising social awareness and educating younger generations about the consequences of armed conflict.

In its statement, the institution noted that philately serves as a means of documenting historically and socially significant events, contributing to the preservation of collective memory and the promotion of universal values of peace.

The statue was created by sculptor Sabri Behramaj and is located in the municipality of Skenderaj, with its image used for the stamp design.

The stamp will remain in circulation until the entire print run is exhausted.
