The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, remembered the massacre of Lybenić on its 25th anniversary. She stated that the genocidal regime of Serbia, as in many parts of Kosovo, as she said, proved it’s barbarism, killing 79 civilians of the village of Lybenić.
“25 years ago, the genocidal regime of Serbia, as in many parts of Kosovo, proved it’s barbarism, killing 79 civilians of the village of Lybenić. The tendency to exterminate the Albanian people didn’t even spare 18-month-old Muhameti and 7-year-old Leonard.”
“It is our institutional obligation to never stop our efforts to establish justice for the victims, giving meaning to our freedom and protecting the truth. May the memory of all those who fell for freedom be eternal,” Osmani wrote.
