A second consecutive protest concerning the protection of Zvërnec is being held in Tirana.

During the protest, some demonstrators surrounded the building of the Ministry of Interior of Albania with barbed wire as a symbolic act in support of protecting Zvërnec.

Thousands of citizens gathered in front of the Interior Ministry, with the march expected to continue toward the Prime Minister’s Office of Albania.

This marks the second protest held on the issue.

Meanwhile, SPAK has already launched an investigation into the matter. Albania’s Special Prosecution Office officially confirmed that it has opened investigations into how land in the protected Zvërnec area was acquired by a suspected network of individuals and companies, as well as into the procedures related to the implementation of a tourism resort development project.

The project has been promoted as an investment linked to Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump.
