The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has spoken out following the explosion that damaged the Ibër-Lepenc channel in Zubin Potok.

Sveçla has labeled the incident a terrorist act, describing it as an attack on critical infrastructure.

“After receiving reports, the police arrived at the scene, where it was determined that, as a result of a terrorist act, part of the Ibër-Lepenc channel, classified as critical infrastructure, was damaged,” Sveçla stated from the site, where he was joined by Kosovo Police Director Gazmend Hoxha.

“This is not about small weapons. We are talking about explosives that are not easily found on the black market. These undoubtedly originate from the reserves and stockpiles of explosives in Serbia,” Sveçla declared.

He emphasized the seriousness of the situation, noting that the attack on such vital infrastructure poses a significant threat and requires a thorough investigation.
