Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Saeed Iravani, has stated that Iran and the United States are exchanging proposals and viewpoints in an effort to reach a final agreement through mediation by Pakistan.

According to him, both sides are working on drafting a memorandum of understanding, although a final text has not yet been agreed upon.

“We are presenting and exchanging views and opinions in order to reach the final text of a memorandum of understanding through Pakistan. We have not yet reached the final text, but we are pursuing the matter,” Iravani said, according to Iran’s state news agency IRNA.

He also expressed optimism that the process could be completed within this month.

According to Iravani, any potential agreement would be accompanied by a broader regional ceasefire.

“The ceasefire will be comprehensive and will cover the entire region, including Lebanon,” the Iranian representative stated.

The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, as diplomatic efforts intensify to prevent further escalation of regional conflicts involving Iran and the United States.
