The son of former president Hashim Thaçi, Endrit Thaçi, spoke at the memorial meeting held in honor of his grandfather, Haxhi Thaçi, who will be buried today, as reported by Gazeta Sinjali.
Endrit said that his late grandfather taught him that unity is the key to every victory, adding that the personification of this unity are the KLA leaders held in The Hague—his father, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi.
Emotionally, he said that their example must be followed to unite again for the next victory over injustice.
“For us, grandfather was an impregnable fortress of wisdom and love. He taught us that unity is the key to every victory, and the personification of this unity are the KLA leaders in The Hague. Let us follow their example to unite once again for the next victory over injustice. Thank you to all who have supported our family, the family of uncle Kadri, uncle Jakup, and uncle Rexhë, and the families of all those held in The Hague.”
