Trepça took a strong step toward the Kosovo Basketball Superleague finals with a dominant 80-65 victory over traditional rivals Sigal Prishtina in the opening game of the Play-Off semifinals.

The “Miners” set the tone early, building a 23-point lead in the first half and maintaining control throughout the game to secure a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Cotton Leads Trepça’s Balanced Attack

Tekkele Cotton led the way for Trepça with 21 points and 6 assists, while Drilon Hajrizi added 17 points and 4 rebounds. Michael Myres Jr. also delivered a solid performance, contributing 17 points and 5 rebounds.

Prishtina Struggles Despite Clark and Davis

On the visiting side, Donte Clark scored 19 points and Jordan Davis added 15, but their efforts weren’t enough to shift the momentum in Prishtina’s favor.

The second game of the semifinal series is scheduled for Tuesday in Prishtina, where the capital’s team will aim to even the series and avoid falling into a 0-2 deficit.
