U.S. President Donald Trump held discussions with his national security aides regarding a new proposal from Iran aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict with Tehran.
The news was confirmed by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who stated that she could not provide an assessment of the offer but emphasized that Trump’s final demands remain unchanged.
According to her, the proposal includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz and addressing Iran’s nuclear program at a later stage. However, Trump is demanding that the strait be reopened immediately and that Iran hand over its enriched uranium.
“I wouldn’t say they are reviewing it. I would just say there was a discussion this morning that I don’t want to get ahead of, and I’m sure you will hear directly from the president on this matter,” Leavitt said.
