Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, Olha Stefanishyna, stated that Ukraine and the United States are in the “final stage of negotiations” regarding a mineral agreement.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed opposition to an agreement that would grant the U.S. access to Ukraine’s minerals in exchange for military support from the U.S.

However, in a social media post, Stefanishyna confirmed that “Ukrainian and American teams are in the final stages of negotiations” concerning the agreement.

“The negotiations have been very constructive, with almost all key details finalized,” she wrote on platform X.

“We hope that the leaders of the U.S. and Ukraine will sign and approve it soon in Washington, so we can demonstrate our commitment for the decades to come,” she added.
