The University of Prishtina has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan.

The news of this memorandum was shared by Tanya Hsu, the Director of International Relations at the National Sun Yat-sen University, in an email sent to the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Arben Hajrullahu, and Vice-Rector Rozafa Basha.

In her announcement, Ms. Hsu expressed her pleasure at adding Kosovo to the list of countries where Taiwanese students will go and stated that Kosovar students from UP would also be welcomed to study in Taiwan in the near future, joining the international community there.

“The memorandum signed by Rectors Arben Hajrullahu and Chih-Peng Li aims to enhance and support academic cooperation in areas such as training, research, curriculum development, postgraduate education, and the exchange of students and teaching staff,” said the UP statement.

It also mentioned that before the signing of the memorandum, Anna Y.C. Ho, Deputy Director of the Taipei Representative Office in Hungary, had visited the University of Prishtina in January 2025, where discussions were held about scholarships that National Sun Yat-sen University could offer to University of Prishtina students.
