Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that he will send a letter tonight to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, asking him to prevent the reopening of the main bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica to vehicle traffic.
During a visit to the Toplica District, Vučić said he would appeal directly to the NATO chief in an effort to stop the bridge from being reopened.
“Tonight, I am sending a letter to Rutte asking him not to allow the bridge over the Ibar to be opened.”
Vučić added that Serbia would continue to “fight as much as it can” over the issue.
“And what can we do about it? We are fighting as much as we can,” Vučić said.
