The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in his speech before departing for New York, issued threats and insults directed at Montenegro.
He criticized Podgorica for recognizing Kosovo and for supporting the resolution condemning the genocide in Srebrenica, which is expected to be approved this Thursday at the United Nations General Assembly.
“This is not the first time they have worked behind our backs,” Vučić said, referring to Montenegro.
The Serbian president further added that he is aware of what awaits his country.
“I know the magnitude of the force that threatens us, I know how big and strong they are, but the only thing I am sure of is that we will fight better than they expect,” Vučić said, among other things.
“On Thursday, we will see who our true friends are,” he concluded.
