During a conversation with reporters in the Oval Office while signing Executive Orders, U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the presence of American troops in Europe.

When specifically asked whether the U.S. would maintain a strong military presence in Europe with thousands of troops, Trump responded, “Yes, we will be involved,” and added, “Europe is a friend.”

“Yes, we will continue to be involved. We are involved now, Europe is a friend.”

The Ministry of Defense also stated that “there is no question” of withdrawing American troops from Kosovo, and that the content of an article from the German media outlet “Bild” aims to “destabilize the country (Kosovo) through disinformation.”

“This news circulating on some websites and television channels is disinformation spread by external actors who aim to destabilize the country and the Western Balkans,” said Kosovo’s Ministry of Defense on Monday, in a written response to the Turkish media outlet “Anadolu.”

The Ministry of Defense of Kosovo said that there is no talk of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR), as such decisions regarding deployment or withdrawal are not made randomly.
