Member of the Mandate Verification Commission from LDK, Armend Zemaj, stated that LDK voted against the commission’s report, not due to inaccuracies, but because the resignation documentation for the Prime Minister and ministers elected as MPs was not submitted on time.

“In the name of LDK, I voted against the report—not because it lacked accurate data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), but because the necessary documentation regarding the resignation of the Prime Minister and ministers wasn’t distributed in time. To ensure constitutional clarity and avoid any violation, we requested additional documentation. What we received was a letter from the Prime Minister that should have been shared earlier, ideally on or before the certification day,” Zemaj said in a media statement from the Assembly hallway.

He added: “We do not believe that the outgoing Prime Minister, as indicated in the letter, will violate the Constitution or return to the PM’s office. Once the oath is taken, all previous mandates should come to an end.”
