Today marks the 26th anniversary of the Battle of Koshare, one of the most significant confrontations of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during the war for freedom.
On April 9, 1999, KLA fighters, led by Brigade 138 “Agim Ramadani,” managed to break through the border between Kosovo and Albania, opening the path for the supply of weapons and logistical support.
This battle, which lasted until June 10, 1999, was fought under extremely difficult conditions but with extraordinary determination from the Albanian fighters.
Breaking the border was not only of strategic importance but also symbolic, marking a significant step toward the liberation of Kosovo.
