The American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo (AmCham Kosovo) has welcomed the swift constitution of the new Parliament and the formation of the new government, following the December 28, 2025 elections, describing it as a clear reflection of Kosovo’s democratic functioning.

In a statement, AmCham Kosovo emphasized that the quick establishment of legislative and executive institutions demonstrates political maturity and institutional consolidation.

“At this new stage of governance, a clear and sustainable economic reform agenda is essential,” the statement reads. The Chamber highlighted the need to address structural challenges, accelerate economic growth, and prioritize key sectors such as energy, including diversification of energy sources and strengthening national energy security.

AmCham Kosovo also stressed the importance of:

  • Creating favorable conditions for strategic investments in modern infrastructure and clean energy.
  • Developing human capital and aligning the education system with labor market requirements.
  • Strengthening the industrial base and attracting foreign direct investments, particularly from the United States and strategic partners.

“Improving the business climate through rule of law, legal security, reducing administrative barriers, and enhancing transparency in decision-making must be an immediate priority for the new institutions,” the Chamber added.

The statement further urged active and sustained collaboration between the public and private sectors, emphasizing that regular dialogue and genuine partnerships are key to accelerating socio-economic development, improving citizen welfare, and enhancing Kosovo’s credibility as an investment destination.
