Serbia’s Foreign Minister Marko Đurić has stated that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti represents a “bad example of a student of totalitarian ideologies.”

According to him, there is no credible reason for Serbia to believe that “rewarding” Kurti’s government would not lead to even more repressive policies toward Serbia.

In an interview with Newsmax Balkans, Đurić emphasized that Serbia opposes and is actively working to prevent what he described as “unilateral actions of Kurti’s regime” from being rewarded on the international stage.

He also signaled a continuation of Serbia’s diplomatic efforts globally to defend its position.

Speaking about relations with the United States, Đurić said Serbia seeks a “new chapter” in bilateral ties and is working to strengthen cooperation with Washington.

He added that there is a high level of dialogue and mutual understanding between Serbia and the current U.S. administration on several key issues.
