The solemn Easter Mass held at the St. Mother Teresa Cathedral in Pristina delivered strong messages of peace under the leadership of Dodë Gjergji.
This important celebration for Catholic believers was marked by calls for spiritual reflection, love, reconciliation, and renewed hope among Albanian families.
In his address, Bishop Gjergji urged political leaders in Kosovo to demonstrate responsibility in carrying out their duties in order to preserve stability and security. He also prayed for an end to conflicts around the world and for the triumph of peace and calm.
“We call on the political authorities of our country to be more aware of the times we live in and more responsible in their duties, so that stability and security are maintained. Let us all have the courage and ability for dialogue with one another and respect the past while building the future… Let us pray for peace in the world. God willing, may the noise and gunfire cease as soon as possible so that peace may prevail,” Bishop Gjergji said.
Easter, the most important holiday in Christianity, symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus Christ and conveys messages of hope, renewal, and new life. In Kosovo, it is marked each year with solemn Masses and large participation, reflecting its deep spiritual and social significance.
