Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has emphasized that close coordination with Kosovo’s strategic partners is now more important than ever. He made these remarks during the transfer of authority of the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT) director in Kosovo and in a meeting with NATO Operations Director Charlotte Hallengren. Kurti confirmed that the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) is currently preparing for a mission in Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force.

He highlighted that Kosovo has built its security institutions on close and sustained cooperation with NATO and its member states. According to Kurti, the FSK is today a professional, reliable, and continuously developing institution, a progress achieved through both internal commitment and unwavering support from international partners.

Kurti noted that the FSK has demonstrated high performance in previous international missions, including joint deployments in Kuwait, Belize, the Falkland Islands, and Turkey. The FSK is now preparing for its deployment to Gaza under the framework of the International Stabilization Force.

NATO Operations Director Charlotte Hallengren praised Kosovo’s decision to contribute troops to the stabilization mission in Gaza.

Kosovo has committed to sending troops to the war-torn region as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF), a mechanism envisioned under the Peace Board initiative launched by U.S. President Donald Trump to promote global peace. In addition to the deployment decision, the Kosovo Assembly must approve the agreement for Kosovo’s membership in the ISF.

ISF Commander Jasper Jeffers confirmed that Kosovo is among the first five countries—including Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, and Albania—to pledge troops for the mission, aimed at ensuring security and stability in Gaza.
