U.S. President Donald Trump said that Iran is “losing badly” in the conflict, as talks are set to begin in Islamabad.

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that media outlets “want to say that Iran is ‘winning,’ when in fact everyone knows they are LOSING and LOSING BADLY.”

He went on to repeat claims previously made by his administration during the conflict, stating: “Their navy is gone, their air force is gone, their air defense system does not exist, radars have been destroyed, missile and drone factories have been largely wiped out, along with the missiles and drones themselves, and most importantly, their long-time ‘leaders’ are no longer with us, praise be to Allah!”

After mentioning Iran’s alleged deployment of naval mines, Trump added that the United States is now beginning “the clearing of the Strait of Hormuz as a favor to countries around the world.”
