More than three hours have passed since U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American representatives are heading to Pakistan for a new round of talks, but there is still no official confirmation from Iran regarding its participation.
So far, no senior Iranian official has confirmed or denied whether the country will take part in the upcoming negotiations.
Meanwhile, two Iranian media outlets linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have expressed skepticism about Tehran’s involvement, reports BBC.
The Tasnim News Agency reported that the Iranian team has indicated it will not participate in talks as long as the United States maintains its blockade.
Similarly, Fars News Agency, citing Tasnim and unidentified sources, stated that Iran has not yet made a final decision, describing the situation as “not positive.”
However, this does not necessarily mean that Iran will refuse to participate, and an official statement from a recognized state representative is still expected.
