Leader of the Lumir Abdixhiku responded briefly to journalists ahead of talks with Prime Minister Albin Kurti regarding the election of the President.
“I will speak after the meeting,” Abdixhiku said when asked whether he is optimistic about reaching an agreement with Kurti.
The meeting between Kurti and Abdixhiku is focused on resolving the deadlock over the presidency in Kosovo.
Kurti has stated earlier that elections are not an option and that a solution must be found within the constitutional framework.
With only 8 days remaining before the constitutional deadline expires, failure to elect a president would automatically trigger early elections.
