The United States has suspended arms supplies to European countries due to the war with Iran. However, the Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Kosovo has not been affected by this decision.
The Kosovo Security Force possesses sophisticated weapon systems, some of which have been purchased from the United States, while other orders are still in process.
Due to the conflict with Iran, the US has decided to halt arms deliveries intended for European states. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Defense confirmed that this decision does not impact Kosovo.
“We inform you that Kosovo has not been affected,” the Ministry of Defense stated.
According to geopolitical analyst Korab Blakaj, Kosovo should learn from such situations.
“Because we have structured our defense more around alliances and potential supply support from other countries in times of need, but here we see a concrete case where the US itself needs weapons, and supplies to others are halted. The same could happen if Turkey, Germany, or other countries enter a war. For this reason, responsible governments invest and prepare their military during peacetime, rather than waiting until the last moment,” Blakaj emphasized.
