Kosovo Government Approves Budget Amendments, Anti–Money Laundering Law Changes and Key Appointments

The Government of Kosovo held an electronic session today, during which several important legislative and financial decisions were approved.

Among the key decisions, the government adopted in principle a draft law amending the Budget Law No. 10/L-001 on budget appropriations for the 2026 fiscal year.

It also approved the initiative to sign a credit agreement between Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and the French Development Agency, aimed at financing preparations for the Mediterranean Games 2030.

In addition, the cabinet approved amendments to the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism, strengthening the country’s legal framework in line with international standards.

The government further decided to propose to the Assembly candidates for seven director positions on the Board of the Kosovo Privatization Agency.

The decisions are expected to proceed to parliamentary review and further implementation steps in the coming period.
