A large amount of undeclared cash has been seized at the Dheu i Bardhë border crossing after four Romanian citizens attempted to enter Kosovo without declaring it, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred on April 29, 2026, at around 09:30, when a BMW vehicle with foreign license plates entered Kosovo. The car was driven by Ioan Budurlean, accompanied by Darius Dumitru Stir, Beniamin Fechete, and Daniel Suldac.
After an initial document check, the individuals were asked if they had anything to declare but responded negatively. This prompted authorities to direct the vehicle to a secondary inspection line.
During the detailed search, officers discovered money hidden and professionally concealed in various parts of the vehicle, uncovered only with the help of specialized equipment.
According to sources, authorities seized:

- 4,187 Romanian lei
The State Prosecutor has been notified and ordered the case to be initiated as a customs violation. The money has been confiscated and handed over to Kosovo Customs for further procedures.
The four Romanian nationals are currently being interviewed, while a decision on whether they will be detained or released under regular procedure is expected from the prosecution.
