U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine currently represent the most powerful military in Europe, highlighting their transformation during the ongoing war with Russia.
According to Rubio, Ukraine’s military has developed advanced capabilities in modern warfare, combining innovative tactics, new technologies, and asymmetric combat methods that have significantly altered battlefield dynamics.
He also claimed that Russia’s armed forces are suffering heavy losses on the front lines, stating that Moscow is losing a substantial number of soldiers each month.
His remarks come amid reports from international security institutes indicating shifts along the front line, including instances where Ukraine has regained territory in certain areas.
Analysts estimate that Russia still controls roughly 20% of Ukrainian territory, while human and military losses remain high on both sides of the conflict.
Western officials emphasize that the situation on the ground remains highly dynamic, with both advances and withdrawals occurring intermittently as the war continues.
