Kosovo’s Ministry of Defence, led in acting capacity by Minister Ejup Maqedonci, has submitted a request to implement a major infrastructure project aimed at modernizing the Kosovo Security Force (FSK), including the construction of new accommodation facilities across three military bases.
According to official documentation published on the e-procurement platform, the project is divided into three separate lots and includes the construction of accommodation buildings at FSK barracks in Istog, Gjilan, and Gjakova. The investment aims to improve living conditions for military personnel while enhancing operational capacity and efficiency in fulfilling the force’s mission.
The contract specifications state that the selected economic operator must possess full professional and technical capacity to execute the project, with all works required to comply with technical standards, bills of quantities, and project documentation outlined in the tender dossier.
The estimated value of the contract is around €3 million, and the project is planned as a three-year implementation scheme. Tender criteria also require companies to submit detailed lists of professional staff and management teams, along with verified qualifications of personnel responsible for project execution.
The project is described as another step in the continued development of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), which in recent years has seen steady investments aimed at strengthening its operational readiness, logistics, and professional capacity.
