The administration of Donald Trump has released a new wave of UFO-related files, including documents, photographs, and 46 previously unpublished videos that had been requested by US lawmakers.
The materials were published on the official website of the Department of War and include audio from the Apollo 12 mission, in which astronauts reported encountering mysterious objects while in space.
The files also contain reports of glowing orange spheres near a military helicopter, unusual “fireball” phenomena in New Mexico, and intelligence documents describing unidentified aerial phenomena near a Soviet weapons testing site.
The newly released collection includes 46 US military UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) videos requested last month by Congress.
Footage shows “Tic Tac”-shaped objects tracked by the US Coast Guard, bright spheres over Afghanistan, unidentified objects emerging from the ocean, and high-speed UAP movements near military aircraft over the Persian Gulf, the East China Sea, and restricted US airspace.
One of the most notable claims references a report alleging that a US F-16 fighter jet shot down a UAP over Lake Huron in February 2023 using an AIM-9X missile.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the release is part of the Trump administration’s effort to ensure “unprecedented transparency” regarding US government knowledge of unidentified aerial phenomena.
“These previously classified files have fueled justified speculation for years, and it is time for the American public to see for themselves,” he said.
The documents follow a March 2026 request by eight members of Congress seeking access to 51 materials potentially related to UFOs.
However, authorities acknowledged that many of the documents lack a fully verified chain of custody, raising questions about how some of the material was obtained and authenticated.
Trump also reacted on Truth Social, stating he ordered the release of the files to ensure “maximum transparency” on extraterrestrial life, UFOs, and unexplained aerial phenomena.
Among the most discussed videos are clips showing objects accelerating rapidly, splitting in mid-air, pulsing above water, or disappearing suddenly.
One video titled “Syrian UAP instant acceleration” shows an object rapidly accelerating in Syrian airspace during a 2021 military operation.
The files also include incidents near Eglin Air Force Base, Kabul, Karaganda International Airport in Kazakhstan, and over Ohio.
Another section includes audio from a 1969 medical debriefing of Apollo 12 astronauts Pete Conrad, Richard Gordon, and Alan Bean, who described mysterious lights and flashes observed during the mission.
NASA later concluded that the phenomenon was caused by internal visual effects rather than external light sources.
The release also includes records of more than 200 sightings of “green spheres,” discs, and fireballs near the Sandia military base in New Mexico between 1948 and 1950, with witnesses reporting objects performing unusual maneuvers, disappearing suddenly, or exploding mid-air.
