Russia has reportedly advised foreign diplomats and citizens to leave Kyiv ahead of possible large-scale strikes, according to journalist Misha Pumo speaking from Moscow on A2 CNN.

Pumo stated that Moscow did not issue a formal evacuation order, but strongly recommended that foreign nationals leave the Ukrainian capital due to potential upcoming attacks.

According to him, Russia could deploy heavy weaponry including “Kinzhal,” “Iskander,” and “Oreshnik” missiles, alongside hundreds of combat drones.

Russian officials reportedly claim the intended targets would include state institutions, military units, and military-industrial facilities inside Ukraine.

Pumo also noted that Russian statements warned civilians to stay away from government buildings and military-related infrastructure, while references to possible strikes on “decision-making centers” remain intentionally vague.

When asked about the risk of direct confrontation between Russia and NATO, the Moscow-based journalist said tensions remain extremely high and that further escalation cannot be ruled out.

“If drone attacks against Russian territory intensify, especially around the Baltic region, a wider confrontation cannot be excluded. The situation resembles a pressure cooker releasing steam from time to time,” he said.
