Kosovo’s Ambassador to Albania, Skënder Durmishi, together with the Mayor of Lezhë, Pjerin Ndreu, visited the three young Kosovars receiving medical treatment at the Regional Hospital of Lezhë following the tragic incident at Rana e Hedhun beach in Shëngjin.

According to Ambassador Durmishi, the condition of the three survivors has stabilized and they remain under continuous medical care at the hospital’s emergency department.

He thanked the medical teams and local authorities for their swift response and assistance, while expressing solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy.

“Their condition is good; they are fortunate. At the same time, this is a deeply shocking event,” Durmishi said, highlighting the dedication and care provided by medical staff.

Doctors at the hospital stated that the young patients continue to be closely monitored and that their health indicators remain stable.

The visit came after a tragic incident at Rana e Hedhun beach, where five young people from Kosovo were caught by strong sea currents. Two of them lost their lives, while three survived and are currently recovering in hospital.
