Twelve members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) have successfully graduated from the “Communications Course Level 2,” significantly expanding the military branch’s tactical integration and signaling capabilities.
The specialized training focused heavily on the configuration, installation, programming, and field deployment of Harris military communication systems—the gold-standard tactical radios widely utilized by the armed forces of NATO member states and international partner nations.
According to an official press release issued by the KSF, the curriculum provided participants with intensive, hands-on operational skills required to maintain encrypted, jam-resistant, and highly reliable command-and-control loops during active military deployments, tactical training exercises, and joint maneuvers.
Driving Technical Interoperability with NATO Partners
The integration of Harris equipment is a strategic priority for Kosovo’s defense infrastructure, serving as a primary technical bridge between domestic forces and western allies.
- Enhanced Interoperability: By standardizing operations on Harris network infrastructure, the KSF ensures seamless communication channels with international partners during joint deployments.
- Command and Control (C2): The technical competencies gained during Level 2 certification provide robust support for secure voice and data transmission across all hierarchical operational commands.
“The widespread use of Harris systems among partner nations directly strengthens our collaborative interoperability during multinational operations,” the KSF statement emphasized. “The successful execution of this advanced course marks a substantial leap forward in the professional modernization of our communications personnel, guaranteeing lethal efficiency in command support.”
